Only you can decide what this cabinet was meant to hold. Maybe it is your heirloom silver or prized collection of German timepieces. All six drawers are secure. The frame and panel lid locks the entire case with one key. When open, the lid discretely slides in place above the top drawer, revealing six perfectly fitted and delicately dovetailed drawers with maple sides. The drawer fronts are cut from a single, wide walnut board so that the figure of the wood flows from one drawer to the next with stunning effect. The exterior of the case is solidly joined by hand cut dovetails and all of the boards have been painstakingly selected and matched to lend unity to the piece. The design uses the bold contrast between the two woods and carefully placed brass pulls to visually lighten the presence of this substantial case piece.
